Today marks Vaisakhi, and NAPABA joins the Sikh community in observing this important celebration, and also in reflection for the memories of those tragically lost at the FedEx Ground facility in Indianapolis, which employed a significant Sikh workforce, two years ago this weekend. We honor the names and memories of the fallen Matthew R. Alexander, Samaria Blackwell, Amarjeet Kaur Johal, Jasvinder Kaur, Jaswinder Singh, Amarjit Sekhon, Karli Smith, and John “Steve” Weisert, and we recognize, appreciate, and celebrate the contributions of Sikh Americans to our rich national tapestry.
