Membership on nonprofit, private sector, and government boards by professionals of color is an important component of creating a more just and representative world in a modern economy and society, providing access to networks and know-how that helps propel careers and professional purpose even further. During this panel discussion, attorneys will hear the experiences of several high-powered professionals of color on why representation by professionals of color is critical for companies and organizations that care about equity and economic success; what it has taken for them to achieve the Board positions they have; how Board participation has advanced their professional growth; and the kind of intentional and strategic thinking and networking they recommend to help attorneys achieve their own Board membership goals. There will be ample time for Q&A in this session.
