About the event
Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush and ISBA president Michael E. Tolbert will join Open Conversations hosts Justice Steven David and Angka Hinshaw in a conversation about the state of diversity within the Indiana court system.
About Open Conversations: Racism and Racial Injustice: This program brings candid dialogue about race and culture in the legal landscape. You are invited into these frank, vulnerable, and transparent conversations, led by Indiana Supreme Court Justice Steven David (a white man in his 60s) and Indianapolis attorney Angka Hinshaw (a young woman of color). The full program includes monthly virtual events, quarterly Res Gestae journal articles, and emailed resources. Join the Open Conversations email list to receive all of the content this program offers.
About the Open Conversations virtual events: Each month, Justice David and Angka address hard-to-discuss topics with community members. Guests will share experiences, perspectives, journeys, and challenges as they navigate society where racism has touched their lives and what we can all do to make positive changes in our world. Through Zoom, you are invited to listen to the conversation and engage with others through the chat function, then pose questions for Justice David and Angka to ask the guest(s). While some insights from the guests will be shared after the program, the conversations are closed to only those who have registered, and they will not be recorded. This allows guests and attendees to be open and vulnerable.
